Bringing 21st Century Science Skills to the Classroom 2019: Science is for Everyone, Everyday! October 22 & 23, 2019 at the Princeton Marriott Forrestal Celebrating 43 Years of Service to Science Education On behalf of the New Jersey Science Convention Steering Committee we welcome you to the 43rd annual convention. We are delighted to provide a variety of sessions addressing K-12 science education. The convention has a history of providing science educators in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania with professional development over the course of two days. This year we are pleased to present as our banquet speaker Dr. Sabine Kastner Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology in the Princeton Neuroscience Institute and Department of Psychology. Dr. Kastner is passionate about public outreach such as fostering the career of young women in science, promoting neuroscience in schools and public education.
NJSC is the only convention offering science educators a unique venue to explore NGSS/NJSLS-S, gain practical skills for the classroom, view the newest materials in science education, as well as time to collaborate with colleagues from different districts. Please join us for one or two days at the convention and for our Tuesday night banquet and catch the energy of the New Jersey science educators. Be sure to check our site periodically for updates to this blog. Lisa Doyle and Lola Szobota, Co-chairs |
